Google Music beta

Hello , how are you ??

in Google I/O Google announced it’s awesome service Google Music beta which let you upload up to 20,000 songs to your account and access them from any other PC or From any android device .

few weeks ago I registered for an invitation to try the new service from Google , but I faced a problem that the service is available only for US customers ,so I registered via proxy server as I’m living in US , after about 2-3 weeks  I received my invitation

after I received it I downloaded Google Music Manger ( it’s an application for your desktop OS which let you uplaod your songs to your account ).

the application is very simple and easy to use ,  you start by logging in with your account and select your music folders ( see picture below )

 

Then you select your settings ( upload speed , when to upload ……….) see picture below

From this settings you can limit number of songs uploaded per hour ,day ……. , also choose speed of uploading

After you uploaded your settings you can go to the website to play them , make a playlist ……… ( this can be done by clicking on Go To Music player , or visiting www.Music.google.com

ohhhhh , for get to mention that you can select a set of albums and free songs  provided by google  see next picture

 

That’s all about web version , You can ask your invitation from here (But you must be from US )

 

Then after about week and while opining Google Music App in my android phone ( Galaxy 5 running CM7 android 2.3.4 ) , I got a message that I’m invited to try Google music beta ( I’m not able to screen shoot it Sorry ) , and so I found option setting in the menu – didn’t see it before receiving my invitation

and the surprise that I found the songs I uploaded from my phone

installing Gingerbread on Galaxy 5 Or Galaxy Europe or Galaxy i5508

Hello ,
Do you have Galaxy 5 or Galaxy Europe and got board of Eclair or even got froyo and got the bad news that your handset won’t got Gingerbread , don’t worry now you can install Gingerbread( 2.3.4 or 2.3.3 ) in your handset .
of course you ask now give me the link quickly so i’ll give it to you but i want you to know that it has been developed by Cyanogen Team and Also have Arabic Support 🙂

WebBox From Vodafone

Hello ! , How are you ?!

on Saturday I was in CairoICT and I’ve visited Vodafone booth and it was an amazing experiment I’ve tried to connect over 4G  and also I tried WebBox .

WebBox ?! yes that’s it’s name and it’s just a keyboard that give you access to the internet via any TV using Android 2.1 , the version I’ve tried have no arabic support but they told me that they’ll add it in the final release .

the keyboard have ( sim place , Battery , cable to be able to connect via TV )

when it will be available ?! they said  next October

how much it will cost ?! they said that it will be under 1000 LE

have no info about will it be upgradable to higher versions of android or not but I think it will be a great experiment .

Shush! Ringer Restorer

Shush! Ringer Restorer lets you set a timer to turn your ring volume back on after you’ve set your Android phone to silent.

This Android app is activated when you silence your ringer using the volume buttons (note that other silencing methods may not activate this app). The true beauty and convenience is in the fact that you don’t need to remember to use a specific app or tap through menus to manage your phone’s ringer volume, it does the work for you!

For example, how many times have you silenced your phone during a class or meeting only to miss calls/notifications afterwards because you forgot to turn the volume back on? When your phone is silenced, a pop-up menu asks you to set the duration you’d like your Android phone kept silent. Adjust the time to your needs and click “Shush!” You can also adjust the volume level of the ringer for when it is turned on again. If instead you’d prefer not to use the ring restorer functionality, just click “Keep it off.”

1 – Open Source
Android is an Open Source Mobile – and tablets Recently – OS , which give the developer the free in developing and give the user the ability for customizing his handset by special ROMs or whatever and also didn’t lose anything , while in the other side for example iOS if you jail-breaking your iphone you will lose .

2 – Adobe Flash
as you know falsh not supported in iOS but works fine in Android in ver 2.2 froyo or higher , i’m using android 2.1 and suffering from Falsh palyer unavailability .

3 – different Models
you can buy only what you need because there are different models from android phones from for example ” Samsung , Sony Ericson ……….

4 – Never worry about price
if you palnning to pay an iphone you will need at least ( 4000 LE – 750 $ ) while android you can start buying an android phone with 200 $ with a normal specifications .

How to take a screenshot from your android phone

Today we have a post about How to take a screenshot from your android phone .
before we start you must have android SDK , then connect your mobile to your laptop then follow these steps :

1 – go to tools folder in android SDK >> “android-SDK/tools” .
2 – double click on “ddms.bat” file .
3 – a new window will appear , select your phone from it .
4 – go to Device menu and hit screen capture .
5 – a new window will appear have many buttons like “save ,done ,rotate “.

Google translate for android , new Update

yesterday Google announced about a new update for Google translate for android
the new features i noticed
1 – conversation mode
this mode let two people who speak a different languages to communicate with each other easily
but this is available now only for “English and Spanish ” languages

2 – translate your SMS by browsing them to Google translate
